You Are Not Alone

If you’ve lost a loved one to suicide, we want you to know: your grief is real, and you don’t have to carry it alone.

This support group offers a compassionate space for adult survivors of suicide loss to share, connect, and begin to heal—together. Led by a fellow survivor and licensed therapist, this is a space where your story is heard and your grief is honored.

Meet the Facilitator:
Jennifer White, LMFT

Jennifer lost her mother, Joanie, to suicide in 2011. That life-altering experience led her to become a therapist who specializes in traumatic loss. With both professional expertise and lived experience, Jennifer brings warmth, safety, and deep understanding to each session.

About the Grief Support Intake

Two women having a conversation in a bright, modern office space with large windows, plants, and a brick wall.

The Grief Support Intake is a one-on-one meeting designed to gently begin that journey. It offers you a safe space to share your story, ask questions, and explore whether a peer support group is the right next step for you.

During this meeting, a clinician from Calabasas Counseling and Grief Center will listen with care, learn more about your experience, and assess how well our group model may support your unique grief. We will also explore your broader support needs, including whether individual counseling, additional resources, or a different type of group might be more helpful at this time.

This intake is not an evaluation of your grief, but a supportive conversation to make sure you feel seen, understood, and connected to the kind of care that truly fits.

No matter the outcome, our goal is the same: to help you feel less alone and more supported as you navigate life after loss.

You do not have to walk this path alone.
