Grief is EXHAUSTING!!

These are some of the ways grief effects your body:

  • Appetite and Weight Changes

  • Sleeping Problems

  • Muscle tension

  • Hyper-startle reactions

  • Shortness Of Breath

  • Sighing

  • Tightness In The Throat

  • Headaches

  • Chest Pain

  • Abdominal Pain

  • Gastro-Intestinal Irritations

  • Nausea

  • Changes in blood pressure

  • Immune system illnesses

  • Exhaustion

 

What you can do to take care of your body:

  • Allow yourself extra time to do very simple tasks.

  • Let yourself take breaks throughout the day and evening.

  • Practice simple slow breathing several times a day.

  • Use social media to join a few groups to connect with someone outside your home (during these days of Stay at Home orders).

  • Download an app that guides you in movement exercises (as appropriate for your body and health).

  • Sign up for a course to learn more about your body.
